PARSONS, W.Va. (WBOY) — Voters in Tucker County will have several decisions to make in the November 5, 2024 General Election.

National Ticket:

At the top of the list, of course, is the race for the White House. Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris are joined on the ballot in West Virginia by Libertarian Chase Oliver, Mountain Party candidate Jill Stein and independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The race for Joe Manchin's U.S. Senate seat is between Governor Jim Justice, the Republican, former Wheeling Mayor Glenn Elliot, a Democrat and Libertarian David Moran.

Incumbent Republican Carol Miller is challenged by Democrat Chris Reed and independent Wes Holden for the U.S. House of Representatives 1st Congressional District.

State Ticket:

A five person field is running to take over for Governor Jim Justice. The field includes Republican Attorney General Patrick Morrisey; Democrat Steve Williams, the Mayor of Huntington; Libertarian Erika Klie Kolenich, a Buckhannon attorney; Chase Linko-Looper, the Mountain Party candidate; and S. Marshall Wilson, a former House of Delegates member who represents the Constitution Party.

In the Secretary of State race, Republican Kris Warner is running for the seat currently held by his brother Mac Warner. Mac finished fourth in the Republican primary for Governor. Thorton Cooper, an attorney, is the Democrat nominee.

Current State Auditor J.B. McCuskey, a Republican, is looking to move into the Attorney General's office currently occupied by Patrick Morrisey. He's facing off with Democrat Teresa Toriseva, a Wheeling attorney.

With McCuskey vacating the Auditor's office, Republican Mark Hunt and Democrat Mary Ann Claytor are vying for the job.

With incumbent State Treasurer Riley Moore running for U.S. Congress, his office will be left vacant. Republican Larry Pack is the only candidate on the ballot for State Treasurer.

Incumbent Commissioner of Agriculture Kent Leonhardt, a Republican, is being challenged by Democrat Deborah Stiles.

In the race for the 14th State Senate district, which covers parts of Grant, Hardy, Mineral, Preston, Taylor and Tucker counties, incumbent Republican Randy Smith is challenged by the Mountain Party's Betsy Orndoff-Sayers.

Voters across the state will also be asked to decide the fate of Amendment No. 1. A vote "for" the amendment is a vote against medically assisted suicide in West Virginia.

County Ticket:

There is only one contested race on the county level. It's for County Commissioner and pits incumbent Republican Fred Davis against Democrat Travis Hamrick
