Two arrested after investigators find 60 pounds of meth during traffic stop

FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) - Two California residents are behind bars at the Mesa County Detention Facility after being arrested on drug distribution charges. Investigators said that they discovered about 60 pounds of methamphetamine in the car. The two were allegedly headed to the Denver area to distribute the drugs. Both Magallon-Chavez and Guerrero are being held on charges of drug distribution and drug importation. Magallon-Chavez is being held on a $10,000 bond. Guerrero is being held on a $50,000 bond. Both were still in the detention facility as of 10:45 Thursday morning.
