Update: Wind advisory issued for Oregon until early Wednesday morning

On Tuesday at 1:27 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory valid from 1 p.m. until Wednesday 4 a.m. for Lower Columbia River, Tualatin Valley, West Hills and Chehalem Mountains, Inner Portland Metro, East Portland Metro, Outer Southeast Portland Metro, West Central Willamette Valley, East Central Willamette Valley, Benton County Lowlands, Linn County Lowlands and Lane County Lowlands.

The weather service says, "South to southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected."

"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," describes the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects such as garbage cans and other objects that can easily blow around."
