A vindictive housewife hounded a NHS therapist out of her job after she bombarded her with texts branding her a 'homewrecker' for being in a relationship with her estranged husband. Andrea Savage, 55, from Cheshire, sent the messages to Louise Young over a three-day period last Christmas after discovering she was dating her ex, Paul Savage, with whom she split in 2020. Keen horsewoman Savage wept uncontrollably as she was convicted of harassment and handed her sentence on Tuesday afternoon. Matters came to a head when former administrator Savage sent a parcel containing A4 print outs of 100 texts Miss Young had shared with Mr Savage during their relationship and posted them to the victim's workplace. Miss Young was said to have felt 'physically sick' on receiving the parcel at work. The victim felt so uncomfortable being targeted in her workplace that she left her job - despite having worked for the NHS for 20 years. In a statement to police Miss Young said: 'I've been caused months of stress and I still cannot understand why Andrea went to such length to intimidate me and scare me, goading me about Paul's love for her. 'I've tried to remain neutral in the exchanges between Andrea and Paul and I had no idea that her abusive texts would escalate to such aggressive behaviour when I received the parcel at work. 'I worked as a therapist and often received catalogues and I just presumed the bundle of printed out texts was a catalogue. 'It was only when I opened the parcel and took out the papers in the office that I realised the content. 'I felt physically sick. The messages were in large print, each message on a page and I was frightened. 'I did not know what to expect as she had made threats to contact my manager which caused me anxiety. 'I worked for the NHS, I had done so for 20 years and I had good professional relationships. 'I loved my job. However, I now felt uncomfortable doing my job in the community in case I was targeted by Andrea. 'It's been emotionally overwhelming and I have found Andrea provocative, vindictive, nasty, and unpredictable and this has left me dealing with feelings of fearfulness and anxiety every day since the last year. 'I believe Andrea's actions have been deliberately aimed to cause me the maximum trauma and distress and she aimed to do this at my place of work.' At Warrington magistrates court, Cheshire, Savage, who lives in the Latchford area of the town, was convicted of harassment and wept uncontrollably as she was sentenced to a 12-month community order with a requirement she undertakes up to 10 rehabilitation activity days. She was also fined £200 with £764 in costs and a victim surcharge and banned from contacting Miss Young and Mr Savage for a year under the terms of a restraining order. Savage denied wrongdoing and during the hearing claimed Mr Savage had been cheating on her with Miss Young during their marriage. Miss Gayle McCoubrey, prosecuting, said: 'The defendant is the ex-partner of Mr Paul Savage and Louise Young is his new partner. 'The defendant sent text messages to Louise Young accusing her of being a homewrecker. 'She also called her transgender and told her to pay for a divorce. Several times, Miss Young asked her to stop messaging but she continued to send text messages 'The defendant has then sent a parcel with 100 pages of text messages between Mr Savage and Miss Young his new partner to Miss Young's place of work. 'Miss Young has stated she was very worried and frightened and said it must have taken hours to print off. There is no victim personal statement from Paul Savage.' Savage who represented herself said she needed surgery from a compression of the spine and two slipped discs. She told the hearing: 'While he was dating Louise, he was still dating me. He left me for her. He was still with me. 'I did send her some text messages but I did not think that was harassment. She had been abusive to me as well. 'I have had two friend requests and she has followed me on Facebook. 'I don't want to contact my husband or Louise Young, I am happy with the restraining order. Sentencing her Deputy District Judge John Rowan told her: 'Your relationship with Mr Savage ended and he seemingly struck up a new relationship with Miss Young. It was found after trial that between December 26, 2023 and December 28, 2023, you had sent a number of messages to Louise Young via text.' 'A significant number of messages had been sent to Miss Young by text and a number of messages were printed out and sent to Miss Young's place of work. 'Your account, was that while you did accept sending the messages to Miss Young it was a two-way street - you did not cause her harassment and you would not have foreseen that she would be caused harassment. 'But that was not accepted. Miss Young she describes feeling anxious. She describes feeling upset at your behaviour. 'She describes having to leave her place of work because of what has happened and the ongoing mental anxiety and upset. 'I agree distress was caused and some psychological harm and there was some impact on Miss Young. 'But I have read from those who know you, you are described as a good mother, a good person, and how this matter has and will continue to have an impact on you. But the impact on the complainant in these matters cannot be understated.'
