Wandel’s goal gives Lehman Div. 3 title

Korri Wandel scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give Lake-Lehman a 4-3 win over Holy Redeemer and the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 3 title on Saturday at Wyoming Valley West.
With the win, the No. 3 seeded Black Knights will host six seed, Lackawanna Trail, on Tuesday. Holy Redeemer, seeded fourth will host No. 5 Wyoming Area on Tuesday.
Lake-Lehman led 1-0 at the half thanks to a Kirstin Cope goal, assisted by Sara Sabaluski. Holy Reedmer responded in the second half with an unassisted goal by Greta Ell. Goals by Wandel and Jen Ringsdorf game Lake-Lehman a 3-2 lead.
Holy Redeemer’s Leah Mullery’s goal, assisted by Elena Martin, with 3:58 tied the game 3-3.
