Wife of southern Illinois charged in murder of her husband

EDWARDS COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — Charges of murder among others were filed for the fatal shooting of an Edwards County judge.

Judge Michael Valentine was found shot in his Albion home on November 5th. Police soon after started to investigate his death.

Details about what took place have still yet to be released.

Valentine's wife, Megan Valentine, is charged with murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated domestic battery.

The suspect was in court on Thursday and is booked into the Edwards County Jail, according to WEVV .
