Woman assaulted officer at shooting scene, police say

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A 37-year-old woman is under arrest after police say she assaulted one of them at a shooting scene Thursday night.

Alicia Rhodes refused their orders to back up at the shooting scene in South Cumminsville and was inside the crime scene while police were trying to contain it, court records show.

In addition to assault, she is charged with misconduct at an emergency and resisting arrest.

She refused to put her hands back while being arrested, police say.

Then, they had to be taken to the ground to be placed into custody, then "kneed" one of them "in the groin" while fighting being put into the police cruiser, court docs show.

Rhodes was held overnight at the Hamilton County Justice Center without bond.

She is scheduled to go to court at 9 a.m. Friday.
