Authorities said the homeowner called police to report a possible burglary after she noticed food items had been taken from her refrigerator and pantry and left on the counter. She reportedly told officers about other strange occurrences that day, like a door being left open on her vehicle in the garage and clothing drawers that were left open.
Responding officers searched inside the house and did not find any suspects. The homeowner informed them that in addition to the main house, there was also an unoccupied guest house on the property.

Officials said while searching the secondary house, they found Thomas asleep on a couch.
She reportedly told officers she had entered the main house through an unlocked door after being involved in a car crash outside the house.
The homeowner confirmed a crash occurred in front of her residence around 3 a.m. that morning. Authorities said it is believed Thomas was on the property from that time up until her arrest.

Thomas reportedly continued to tell police she did not think anyone lived on the property, so over the next few hours she took a shower, put on the homeowners' clothes and ate food from the pantry before moving to the guest house. Officers found a bag containing Thomas's clothes and a towel from the main house.
Thomas was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. She is being held in Metro jail on a $25,000 bond.
