Woman's Body Found Wrapped In Plastic, Husband Charged: Philly Police Philadelphia Police said they found the body of Lola Karabaeva, 61, wrapped in plastic inside a closet in a Northeast Philly property.

PHILADELPHIA — A man has been charged after Philadelphia Police said his wife's body was found wrapped in plastic in a closet.

Vladimir Lushevskiy, 65, was charged with abuse of a corpse, police said.

The charges came after the body of his wife, 61-year-old Lola Karabaeva, was found in a closet in a residence on the 9000 block of Diplomat Place in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday.

According to authorities, police early Sunday morning were told Lola Karabaeva was missing, and witnesses said they last spoke to her at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Detectives Wednesday went back to the 9000 block of Diplomat Place to further investigate her disappearance.

While searching a property Wednesday morning, they found her body inside a closet wrapped in plastic.

She was pronounced dead at 10:13 a.m., but her cause of death has yet to be determined.

Vladimir Lushevskiy was taken into custody and charged with abuse of a corpse.

More charges could be filed against him as the investigation unfolds.
