Workers injured in fire at RIT’s Tiger Stadium

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two workers were injured in a fire at RIT's Tiger Stadium Wednesday.

According to the Henrietta Fire Department, the roof of the new stadium caught fire sometime around 8:30 a.m. The stadium was evacuated while crews worked to put out the flames.

Two employees were hurt, one of whom was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

RIT said the fire did not impact classes or campus activities.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Kim Ye-ji, who won a silver medal in the women's 10-meter air pistol event at the Paris Olympics on Sept. 28, is taking a break from professional shooting.
