FORTY FORT – Willie Lulciuc had a goal and an assist on Thursday as Wyoming
Valley West blanked Wyoming Seminary, 3-0, in Wyoming Valley Conference
soccer.

Rob McGuiness and Nathan Astaneh also scored goals for the Spartans, and
Adam Carey turned in a strong performance in goal. Carey made 17 saves as
Seminary had a 27-16 edge in shots.
Crestwood 4, Tunkhannock 0

WRIGHT TWP. – Scott Gaetano, Silvio Bertagonli, Kevin Moulton and Cameron
English scored goals as Crestwood topped Tunkhannock.

Keeper Josh Herr made three saves to get the shutout for the Comets.

H.S. FIELD HOCKEY

Seminary 3, Dallas 0

KINGSTON – Laura Suchoski had a goal and an assist as Wyoming Seminary
defeated Dallas.

Christina Brown and Elizabeth Blaum added goals for the Blue Knights, Tam
Morris and Kendra Sirak added assists, and Erin McGinley made four saves to
get the shutout.

Hanover 6, Wyoming Area 0

WYOMING – Maria Deno had a hat trick as Hanover Area defeated Wyoming Area.

It was the first WVC victory for the Hawkeyes, who joined the league this
season along with Wyoming Area.

Maranda Haefele, Jaclyn Mazur and Katie Rauscher added goals for Hanover,
and Alison Carr got the shutout.

Nanticoke 3, Pittston Area 1

PITTSTON – Lauren Williams, Amanda Prentiss and Sydnei Simon scored goals
as Nanticoke rallied for a victory over Pittston Area.

Katie Connors gave the Patriots the lead on a goal 59 seconds into the game
off an assist from Kristen Baumes.



Berwick 3, Hazleton 1

HAZLETON – Alyssa Kemmerer had 18 service points and 12 assists to lead
Berwick past Hazleton Area, 25-14, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19.

Nikki Michaels and 12 kills and seven service points for the Dawgs, Megan
Kiliti had nine kills, Kim Gerlach had 12 assists, Isla Wilczynski had six
kills and Bridget Carlin had five points and five kills.

Sara Polchin had two aces, three kills and 10 assists to lead the Cougars,
Jessica Dick contributed 14 assists and Kristin Kondash had 12 kills.

North Pocono 3, MMI 0

FREELAND – Kelly Perry had 10 service points and five aces as North Pocono


Jessica Malloy had nine assists and two kills for MMI.

Hanover 3, WVW 0

PLYMOUTH – Hanover Area defeated Wyoming Valley West, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.

Kristen Wisniewski led the Spartans with eight blocks and five kills, and
Susan Shaw added eight digs, two aces and six service points.

O’Reilly 161, Lehman 174

LEHMAN TWP. – Bishop O’Reilly’s Justin Sherin shot a 3-over 37 at Lehman
Golf Club to earn medalist honors in a victory over Lake-Lehman.

Josh Aciukewicz and Conor Judge carded 41s for the Queensmen, while Rob
Yocum recorded a 42.

Doug Piazza, Justin Eimers and Mark Rossick shot 43s to pace Lehman. Chris
Jones and Bryan Cardillo added 45s.

Seminary 164, Dallas 166

DALLAS – Ross Brown won medalist honors with an even-par 36 at Irem Temple
Country Club, leading Wyoming Seminary to a victory over Dallas.

Ken Suchoski shot 40 for the Blue Knights, Mike Lloyd followed with a 43
and Matt Perrone had a 45.

Jon Stephens and Ryan Franconi carded 40s to lead the Mountaineers, Scott
Grundowski followed with a 42 and Joe Bevevino shot 44.



Hazleton 22, Pittston 36

HAZLETON – Lucas Mariano (18:34) and Mike Litvinov (18:43) took the first
two places to lead Hazleton Area.

George Bidwell (19:25) was top finisher for Pittston Area by placing third
and Alex Caicedo (20:04) finished fifth for the Patriots.

Kerry Boyle (19:40) placed fourth for the Cougars.



Hazleton 17, Pittston 44

HAZLETON – Hazleton Area took the top four spots, led by Maria Monks, who
finished in 20:02.

Brenae Edwards (21:03) finished second, Amanda Radishofski (21:35) placed
third and Noelle Andrasi (22:33) took fourth.

Laura Olson (23:10) was top finisher for Pittston Area, she placed fifth.

H.S. WATER POLO

LANSDALE – Wyoming Valley West dropped a pair of matches at North Penn High
School. North Penn won the boys match 15-9, and the girls match 8-5.



King’s 3, Ramapo 2, OT

MAHWAH, N.J. – Kelly Bowes scored the game-winning goal to lead King’s.

Also scoring for King’s was Suzanne Thompson with an unassisted goal and
Shelly Baron off an assist from Amanda Jez.

Kerri Poltersdorf made seven saves in net for the Lady Monarchs.

King’s will next play in the Vassar College Tournament tomorrow and Sunday.

COLLEGE WOMEN’S SOCCER

Cedar Crest 4, King’s 1

ALLENTOWN – Jen Beams scored for King’s (1-3) in a loss at Cedar Crest
College.

COLLEGE WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

King’s 3, Keystone 0

WILKES-BARRE – King’s won by scores of 30-15, 30-17 and 30-20.

The Monarchs (5-1) were led by Elena DiGrado with 14 kills. Diane Lucas
added five kills and 10 digs and Kate Carr contributed with eight digs and
four kills. Jessica Luederman had 28 assists for King’s.

PSU W-B 3, PSU Hazleton 0

HAZLETON – Penn State Wilkes-Barre (1-0) swept Penn State Hazleton, 30-23,
