2 firefighters transported after responding to basement fire in Green Valley Ranch

DENVER (KDVR) — A basement fire injured two firefighters and prompted a large fire response in Green Valley Ranch on Wednesday night. Denver Fire Department was responding to the blaze as of about 10 p.m. and reported two firefighters were being evaluated on scene. Later the agency reported they were transported for medical care. The agency said a civilian was also evaluated on scene, but not transported to a hospital. Denver police were also on scene for the response — Denver fire reported that the blaze prompted a second alarm, causing the increased response. The fire department said there was heavy smoke at the scene, and crews had water on the fire. As of about 10:10 p.m., the agency said it had a knock on the fire. New Mexico's top elections regulator said Tuesday that she has been the target of harassing and threatening comments on social media after affirming President-elect Donald Trump's national election victory in an attempt to halt conspiracy theories. New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver shared her concerns as she briefed a legislative panel about administration of the general election and progress toward certifying the vote tally amid a surge in same-day voter registration. "I am currently experiencing threats, harassment — from even some members of this committee — online," said Toulouse Oliver, a Democrat who has been subject repeatedly to threats in the past.
