Patrick Mahomes called the burglary at his Kansas City area home "frustrating and disappointing," and declined to say much more about the incident that occurred last month. "I can't get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing, but it's obviously something you don't want to happen — to really anybody, but obviously yourself," Mahomes said Wednesday during his weekly news conference at the Chiefs practice facility. Belton police were called to the Mahomes family home shortly after midnight on Oct. 6, a Sunday. The Chiefs played the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football the next day. A Cass County Sherriff's Office report characterized the incident as "Burglary/Breaking & Entering" and said it was an ongoing investigation. Responding police said there were no signs of forced entry to the home. After the Chiefs and Saints kicked off, the Leawood home of tight end Travis Kelce was allegedly broken into . TMZ reported $20,000 in cash was taken and the back door was damaged, according to a police report.
