BROOMFIELD, Colo. (KDVR) — A Broomfield mobile home was struck by a car early Wednesday morning and it isn't the first time. It was about 5 a.m. Wednesday when the family of a mobile home inside Front Range Mobile Home Park was woken up by a car hitting the edge of their home. Denver police sergeant arrested, placed on off-line duty during investigation Their surveillance camera caught the whole thing. The vehicle can be seen speeding through the area, before losing control, hitting a curb, and coming barreling into the home, before the driver runs from the scene. Mindy Miller has lived in the mobile home park for 15 years and said speeding and teenagers racing in the area have been an issue for years. "The speeding in here is really out of control. We don't have full-size streets, we don't have sidewalks. Since we're private property, it's hard to get the local police to help do speed traps or come in and patrol," Miller said. "I've requested speed bumps but they say it interferes with plowing. It's a tough spot." Not to mention this isn't the first time this home has been hit. Miller said this is the second time. Man pleads guilty to stealing body parts for Crown Hill Cemetery mausoleum in 2023 "I remember it was high rates of speed and again it was the same part of the house that was hit it's just frustrating because it's not something that's a priority for management. Right now I am just worried for the family. They are having to live at a family's home." Miller said. Miller said management hasn't done much to correct the speeding problem even after the initial incident. She said she's suggested concrete barriers or rocks, but to no avail. She hopes this time around it will be a wake-up call. FOX31 tried to contact the management at Front Range via email and phone Wednesday afternoon but did not get a response.
