City of Jesup announces Christmas events
JESUP, Ga. (WSAV) – The city of Jesup is gearing up for the holiday season.
Three events will be hosted downtown to celebrate.
On Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. the city will host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting at James R. Bland Park. This year will honor the life of Ros Murphy, whose family will light the tree.
The public can also enjoy live music, carriage rides and a visit with Santa.
The following day on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. is the Downtown Jesup Christmas Parade.
Hosted by the city and the Jesup Downtown Authority, the beloved holiday tradition aims to bring the community together for a festive celebration.
Lastly, on Friday, Dec. 13 at 6:45 p.m., the whole family can enjoy a magical evening with Santa, carriage rides and a chance to meet the Grinch at James R. Bland Park.
