Coroner ID’s passenger who died after East Truxtun Ave. crash

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified a passenger who died at the hospital days after being struck by a suspected drunk driver in east Bakersfield. The coroner's office says Victor Medina Castro, 53-year-old Bakersfield man, was the passenger of a vehicle struck on East Truxtun Avenue and Miller Street. Castro was transported to Kern Medical the night of Sept. 28, where he died three days later. The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating this incident. The family of the man shot and killed by Hamilton police on Saturday has identified him as Erixon Kabera — a father of three, known for his kindness and dedication to Hamilton's Rwandan community.
