Elizabeth Hibbard, of Wyoming, recently joined the local nonprofit agency as director of fund development. She is responsible for fundraising, marketing, public relations, grant writing and event planning.
Hibbard has many years of experience working in the nonprofit sector and holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Delaware.

Rachel Murawski recently joined the architectural engineering firm as senior director of Information Technology in the Wilkes-Barre office. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/computer science from Wilkes University and has experience in systems programming, database administration and technical support management.
PA SOCIETY OF COLON & RECTAL SURGEONS
Dr. Joseph Patrick Bannon, of Waverly, was recently named president of the state society. Dr. Bannon serves as the vice chairman of the Department of Surgery, the section chief of General Surgery and the director of the Surgical Education Committee at Mercy Hospital. He is also an associate professor of surgery at The Commonwealth Medical College and a partner in Delta Medix, PC, Scranton.
Bannon is a graduate of the Scranton Preparatory School and the University of Scranton. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He is a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons. He holds membership in the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American Society of General Surgeons, and other national and regional societies.
