FARMVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — A pair of Farmville Central Jaguar baseball players signed their names to play in college at UNC-Wilmington.

Trey Williford and Joe May sealed the deal to become Seahawks. Williford will be a left-handed pitcher and May hopes to play first base or outfield.

The two have been friends for a long time and are excited to take their baseball talents to the beach.

"W'ell probably be rooming together. It was very cool, you know, talking about it. I said well, why don't we just go there and push each other and there's no one I'd rather do it with," Williford said.

Kim Ye-ji, who won a silver medal in the women's 10-meter air pistol event at the Paris Olympics on Sept. 28, is taking a break from professional shooting. Speaking to AFP on Sunday, Kim's agent, Yang Yong-sik, said the Olympian will "temporarily suspend her sports career... to have some time together with her young daughter." Yang clarified that the 32-year-old South Korean shooter is not retiring from the sport, as she just wants to "make up for the time she couldn't spend with her family."
