Flipped car on Green River Road delays traffic in Evansville

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Emergency crews responded to an accident with injuries on Green River Road, under the Lloyd Expressway, in Evansville. Police say a car was flipped on its side.

Dispatch tells us a call came in around 12 p.m. about a vehicle accident with injuries and that emergency crews are on the scene.

Sergeant Smith, with the Evansville Police Department, tells us this was a single vehicle accident and the driver overcorrected a turn and hit a curb, which resulted in the vehicle flipping on its side.

We're told the driver was taken to the hospital for a shoulder injury, and there are no road closures at this time.
