‘I was freaking out a lot’: Bullard boy gets Patrick Mahomes’ attention with sign after Monday Night Football

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - When 10-year-old Josiah Harris and his mother Mandy drove eight hours to Kansas City last weekend, they had a goal in mind.

"This was the third time he's carried the sign to a game, hoping Patrick saw him, and he did," said Mandy Harris.

Josiah's sign, reading "#15 Mahomes, I'm your #1 fan, Bullard, TX" caught the eye of the Whitehouse native after the Chiefs defeated the Bucs 30-24.

In the video captured by another fan, Mahomes can be heard saying, "Bullard, Texas!"

"I had a huge...I wouldn't necessarily say meltdown... but maybe I was freaking out a lot," said the fifth grader.

Mahomes gave Josiah his headband, which he wore during his interview with KLTV, along with a Mahomes jersey. Josiah said he's even been wearing it to school, but he plans to get it framed soon.

"It's been an unforgettable moment," said Josiah.
