Lady Bears grab road win at Wichita

WICHITA, Kan–The Missouri State Lady Bears are hitting the road for the next six games.

It started Wednesday night, and yes Dorothy they are in Kansas.

In our Bear Nation report, it's the 90th meeting between these two former conference rivals.

And there was no love loss between the Shockers and Lady Bears over the years.

Wednesday night, MoState was back in the Sunflower State for the first time in six years.

The Lady Bears built a big lead by outscoring the Shockers 24-9 in the second quarter.

But Wichita battled back in the third quarter, and it was a two point MoState lead going into the fourth.

In that final frame, Kiley Bess and Kaemyn Bekemeier kept the Lady Bears in front.

And Missouri State wins 82-77.

MoState had six players in double figures led by Kyrah Daniels 16.

Bess, a transfer from Indiana State, had 11 and Bekemeier 13.

The Lady Bears go to Tennessee Martin next Tuesday.
