MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Baskin native and country music star Lainey Wilson is set to fill the Monroe Civic Center on Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 for two nights of sold out concerts.

Kylie Austin, owner of Cara's Boutique in West Monroe said her customers have been coming to the store to find outfits for the concert.

"We love to empower women and make sure that they feel beautiful and confident, and so, helping them find the perfect outfit for an event, especially like Lainey Wilson, is just number one, so fun for us," said Austin.

Austin said her store has a wide variety of options to choose from including dresses, jeans, jewelry, tops and boots in all sizes.

"Making sure we're super stocked for everybody is a big deal whenever you have so many women and girls in our area wanting to get dressed, but not all look the same for this really fun event this weekend," said Austin.

President and CEO of Discover Monroe-West Monroe Alana Cooper says the concerts will significantly impact tourism and the economy in the twin cities.

"There's definitely a good opportunity for a lot of economic impact ripple effect, even besides just the concert and coming in and going to it; there's going to be eating, shopping, some fun things going on, people going out and visiting," said Cooper.

Cooper said Lainey Wilson is the epitome of southern hospitality and locals are excited for her arrival.

"It's going to be a fun two nights here in Ouachita Parish, and she's going to put on a show. I know people will really enjoy it, because she's going to personalize it a little bit more, because it is hometown," said Cooper.
