Man arrested for allegedly shooting and killing victim from his front porch

A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection to in north Austin last week.

According to the Austin Police Department, Travis Holland, 32, was pronounced dead at 1:01 a.m. after being shot outside the complex in the 8400 block of Goldfinch Court.

Police say William Bruce allegedly shot Holland from his porch around 12:42 a.m. as the victim was walking in the area.

Officers responding to multiple reports of gunfire found Holland on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. Bruce was detained at the scene.

According ton online records, Bruce has been charged with first-degree murder. He remains in the Travis County Correctional Complex on a cumulative $500,000 bond.
