Man dies after being hit in head with glass bottle in NYC: police

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man died days after he was struck over the head with a glass bottle during an assault in New York City, police said Wednesday.

Victor Luis Caceres, 29, of Budd Lake, New Jersey, died on Saturday after he was assaulted in Queens on Nov. 1, according to the NYPD.

A person struck Caceres over the head with a glass bottle while a group of people assaulted him in front of 32-40 57th St. in Woodside around 3 a.m., police said.

Caceres was hospitalized with cuts to his head and ear and died just over a week later, according to police.

No arrests have been made.
