(WBRE/WYOU) — Street2Feet is also working with Stroudsburg and Monroe County officials to find solutions for the homeless.

They say the homeless population has significantly grown in the Stroudsburg area over the past year.

The county decided to allow their property in the wooded area behind Glen Park in Stroudsburg to be a temporary location for the homeless to set up an encampment.

"The long-term solution obviously is to try to find some kind of housing. I know the county is looking at that problem. From our point of view, what we're trying to do is, we're trying to keep all the homeless people in one area and try to get services to them as much as possible," said Stroudsburg Borough Manager Larry Kopp.

Officials say the only issue with the encampment seems to be the trash so they are collecting it every day.
