ALPENA, MI – A Northern Michigan man is facing charges after allegedly setting a camper and SUV on fire last week, WBPN/WGTU reports . The 60-year-old Alpena man is charged as a habitual offender with arson and making terroristic threats, the report said. On Friday, first responders were dispatched to a fire in the backyard of a residence McKinley Street near Ninth Avenue in Alpena, the report said. A fifth-wheel camper and SUV were engulfed in flames. No one was injured. The suspect was arrested when he returned to the scene, police said. He also allegedly made threats to cause more harm to people.
