Members of the St. John the Evangelist High School Class of 1962 will celebrate their 70th birthdays from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Tipsy Turtle Airport Pub, 28 Concorde Dr., Avoca.

The cost of the party will be $30 per person and will include a buffet featuring four entrées with sides, fountain drinks, coffee, tea and a birthday cake. A cash bar will be available.

Knights holding fundraiser

The Pittston Knights of Columbus Council No. 372 will hold a fundraising event to benefit “Coats and Shoes for Kids” a local charity on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Featured entertainment provided by Mike Snopkowski “Two Mikes” 7–11 p.m. The Knights Kitchen will be open with various food specials available. This event is open to the public. This is a non-smoking event.

A small donation of $3 will collected at the door. Clothing is not being accepted, monetary donations are being accepted during the month of October. Monetary donations to this worthy charity can be dropped off in person or mailed to the Pittston Knights of Columbus, 55 S. Main St., Pittston. Reminder, The Knights of Columbus Hall is now available to the public for upcoming holiday parties or events. Call 570-655-8311 for hall rental details.
