Reward offered for identifying two women seen at Vancouver mall shooting
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a reward for the identification of two women who police say may have information about the shooting at the Vancouver Mall Thursday evening.
The shooting happened at around 7:30 p.m. in the middle of a family trick-or-treating event at the mall. At that time, someone in the food court opened fire, killing one person and sending two others to the hospital, according to police.
Authorities say the suspect was wearing a Halloween-type mask at the time of the shooting and it is believed to have been a targeted attack.
Although no arrests have been made, police believe the women captured on mall surveillance footage – one of whom was with a small child – may have information related to the shooting.
Police add the women are not believed to be involved in the shooting itself.
Investigators with Vancouver police and Crime Stoppers of Oregon are teaming up to offer cash rewards of up to $2,500 for any information about this person or the shooting.
Tips can be submitted anonymously via Crime Stoppers' website or their mobile app called "P3 tips."
