Round Up for Pets

Rocky's Ace Hardware, one of the country's largest family-owned Ace Hardware dealers, collects more than $34,561.68 in donations to help animals. $2,820.67 of the money is going to shelters in Florida.

The 14th annual "Round Up for Pets" asked customers to round up their purchase to the next dollar, with the difference being donated to animal shelters near the store.

"Every year it delights me to know we are pitching in to help animals in need," says Rocky's Ace Hardware President and CEO Rocco J. Falcone II. "We know how important pets are to our customers and staff. We applaud shelters doing the important work of making sure animals are well cared for while they wait for forever homes. We can't thank our customers enough for supporting our mission to help.

Participating Rocky's locations included Tequesta, Wellington and Stuart.

The fundraiser benefited Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch in Jupiter, Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee Groves and The Kane Center in Stuart. ¦
