WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The Salvation Army of Wichita Falls temporarily closed on Wednesday evening following water main breaks around the city.

According to Major Joe Burton, a water main in front of the facility has ruptured, cutting off water services for the Army's shelter. The facility has not experienced any flooding.

The Salvation Army is redirecting its clients to other area shelters. The Faith Mission , located at 1300 Travis Street, is taking male clients, while female clients should make their way to Faith Refuge , located at 710 East Hatton Road.

There is no timeframe for when the needed repairs for the water main will be completed, allowing the Salvation Army to reopen.

Residents around Wichita Falls have been frustrated by outages amid another round of water main breaks caused by the recent heavy rains.

The city has said it is working to repair the water mains and restore services to those who have lost them.
