Snow squalls possible in central Pa. on windy, cold Tuesday

Central Pennsylvania could experience snow squalls on Tuesday amid gusty winds and barely above-freezing temperatures, forecasters said. The National Weather Service said snow is most likely to fall between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday. A few snow squalls are possible, mainly in the morning and afternoon, according to a hazardous weather outlook . Forecasters said snow squalls are most likely near the Interstate 80 corridor and in the northern section of central Pennsylvania. “Any squall could produce locally very hazardous travel conditions with poor visibility and icy roads,” forecasters said. Winds could gust more than 30 mph on Tuesday, according to the NWS. Temperatures are expected to peak around 33. Forecasters said Wednesday will be sunnier, snow-free and a bit warmer, with highs in the upper 30s. Temperatures may reach 50 by Thursday. Mostly sunny, with a high near 33.
