Ace made at Glenmaura
Alyce Lowery hit a hole in one at Glenmaura National Golf Club on
Wednesday.
She aced the No. 11 hole and it was witnessed by Mary Alice Labosky, Peg
Torbik and Mary Ann Cherundola.
Area kids spur Bloomsburg
Tunkhannock Area High School graduate Kristy Kropa and Lake-Lehman graduate
Tracy Hudak led the Bloomsburg field hockey team to a 6-0 victory against
Bryant on Sunday.
Kropa scored two goals and Hudak recorded two saves to pick up the shutout.
In Bloomsburg men’s soccer, Dallas graduate Adam Clay scored a goal and
added an assist in the Huskies 6-3 loss to Dowling.
And in football, punter Tim Oliver, a Crestwood graduate, averaged 36.4
yards on eight punts including four landing inside the 20-yard line.
