This Morristown Bakery Was Named One Of The Best In NJ A Best of NJ list naming the best bakeries in the state featured a popular Morristown spot.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Looking for a delicious sweet treat? With so many options in the Garden State, you're bound to get a new recommendation every time you ask.

However, one bakery in Morristown has been recognized as one of the best in the state for 2024, according to a recent report.

The website Best of NJ put together a list of the best bakeries in New Jersey , and Morristown's The Artist Baker ranked as one of the top North Jersey spots.

"The works of art at The Artist Baker take the form of handcrafted cakes and pastries," the website wrote.

Located at 16 Cattano Avenue in Morristown, The Artist Baker has been delighting customers with a variety of handcrafted cakes, pastries, and other treats since opening its doors in 2009.

Led by pastry chef Andrea Lekberg, The Artist Baker offers custom cakes for special occasions, along with a rotating selection of seasonal treats.

For the fall, the selection includes:

  • Pumpkin Butter with Meringue
  • Maple Pecan with Bourbon
  • Glazed Apple Pie
  • Tart Cherry Crumb
  • Chocolate Pie
  • Croissant Bread Pudding Cake with Toffee Sauce
  • Caramel Buttermilk Pancake Cake
  • S'mores Cake
  • Rosemary Corn Muffins
  • Vegan Pumpkin Curry Soup
  • Mushroom and Green Bean Quiche with Smoked Gruyère
  • The bakery announced on social media that Nov. 16 is the final day to place orders for Thanksgiving. Customers can preorder by calling 973-267-5540 and making a payment.

    The Artist Baker offers tea service Tuesday through Saturday, with reservations available on the hour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu features classic treats such as freshly baked scones, tea sandwiches like cucumber and walnut chicken salad, as well as fresh fruit, French macarons and shortbread.

    The Artist Baker is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
