Bloomsburg, Pa. — Bloomsburg's popular fall foliage and Halloween train rides give riders the opportunity to catch some beautiful views while riding the rails and participating in Halloween festivities. Tickets for the 2 p.m. ride are already sold out, but the more child-oriented 10 a.m. and noon rides still have a few open slots.

The rides will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12. The 10 a.m. and noon rides last a little over an hour and will feature a children's Halloween costume contest, music, and guest costumed characters. Tickets are available to purchase online and cost $10 for children under age 12 and $15 for adults. Children under a year old who can sit on their guardian's lap may attend at no cost.

The trains depart from 769 Railroad Street, Bloomsburg. There will be signs directing visitors to the parking lot, which allows for free parking.

The train will depart from Bloomsburg and travel west towards Danville for about two miles past the Rupert Covered Bridge before turning returning to Bloomsburg on the same route.

Please note that the trains are not handicapped-accessible, and guests may not bring food or drinks aboard the train. Popcorn and water will be available for purchase during the train ride.

The train rides are supported by Downtown Bloomsburg, Inc., the Bloomsburg Public Library, North Shore Railroad, Penn Valley Railroad LLC, and the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority. Downtown Bloomsburg also thanks their partner, Autoneum, for their help with this event.
