Two men recovered from truck found in St. Joe River ID'd

Nov. 13—ELKHART — Elkhart County deputies have identified the two bodies that were recovered from a vehicle in the St. Joseph River near Six Span Bridge Wednesday.

They are Theo Bean, 30, Elkhart, and Tireno Washington, 39, Bristol.

Elkhart County deputies reported that at 3:46 p.m. Wednesday, a 2018 Ram 150 pick up truck driven by Bean ran off the north side of Ind. 120 West, near C.R. 19, down a ditch and into the river.

Rescue teams were called and officers recovered both men from the vehicle.

The families have been notified.

An eagled-eyed husband and wife were sailing in Hawaii when they spotted mysterious objects in the distance. Camila and Ryan Sullivan found five scuba divers drifting at sea. They told their rescuers that they were on a diving excursion. When they surfaced, they realized that they drifted away and their dive boat was nowhere to be found. The couple tried to pull them to safety but the sea was too rough. They radioed the U.S. Coast Guard. Twenty minutes later, help finally arrived.
