Welcome Center closed for roof, facility evaluations in Delaware Water Gap

(WBRE/WYOU) — The Delaware Water Gap Welcome Center in Monroe County off Interstate 80 is closed for roof and facility evaluations.

Damage was found in the interior of the building and they're trying to assess the damage in order to develop a repair plan.

Historic Wilkes-Barre building demolished

The facility will remain closed until further notice.

Travelers can use the rest stop facilities on I-80 East in Luzerne County and I-80 West in Morris County, New Jersey.
