Woman shot multiple times in Ansonia

ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — The Ansonia Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that left a woman with multiple gunshot wounds Friday night.
Around 7:50 p.m., the Derby Police Department informed Ansonia officials about a 27-year-old female who arrived at Griffin Hospital in a private vehicle. The woman, an Ansonia resident, was shot multiple times in the lower body and is in stable condition.
A police investigation determined the woman was shot in Ansonia, and officials say it was an isolated incident. The investigation is ongoing and Ansonia police say they are pursuing leads.
