LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Animals have been known to help people in many ways.

Over the Rainbow Zootopia in Eaton Rapids is supporting people with all abilities find their path to the workforce and develop essential life skills. Like, responsibility, patience, and communication. Bri Oberlin, Lindsey Zaucha, and part-time helper Chase join Mid-Michigan Matters with their friends Alexis the sheep and Perry the goat. Bri shares how animals positively impact people of all abilities by building confidence, reducing anxiety, providing unconditional love and no judgement, and connecting with individuals. Those who work with the nonprofit get to ease into the workforce and gain a sense of belonging and independence.

The zoo has their event, The Enchanted Forest happening every Friday and Saturday evening from 7-10 PM until November 16th for $10. You will experience a 1/4-mile lighted trail through the woods and see the animals under the lights.
