Enjoy the sun while it lasts today, we are headed for a wet weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 20 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Grey skies and chilling temperatures greeted early commuters working for the weekend.

Sunny skies are expected for today, with a high in the lower 30s. Clear skies will stick around the Wyoming Valley tonight, with a low of about 17 degrees

Clouds will begin to cover the sky on Saturday. The high will be in the lower 60s.

Saturday night will bring the chance of rain before 8 p.m., turning to freezing rain until 11p.m., and rain continuing through Sunday. Accumulation of less than a tenth of an inch is anticipated. Saturday night’s low will be in the low 30s.

Cloudy skies will continue on Sunday, along with a chance of rain. Sunday’s high will be in the upper 40s.

Rain will continue on Sunday night, with a low in the lower 40s

Expect the rain to last through Monday, with the sun breaking through again on Tuesday.
