Kingston Baseball and Softball Board of Directors, 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov.

Wyoming Area Ice Hockey, 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the West Wyoming Borough
Building, 8th Street. Fund-raiser returns will be collected at this time. All
parents are urged to attend.
Wyoming Valley West Spartan Wrestling Booster Club, 7 p.m. Monday at the
American Legion Post 395, Wyoming Avenue, Kingston. Parents of elementary,
junior high, and varsity wrestlers are urged to attend. For more information,

SIGN-UPS/TRYOUTS/REGISTRATION
Greater Pittston YMCA Fall Youth Soccer and Basketball Leagues, for
children ages 4-12, will begin in late November. The basketball league will
play between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The soccer league will play
between 12 and 5 p.m. on Sundays. Both leagues focus on the fundamentals of
the games. To register, call Frank Bartoli at 655-2255 or stop by the YMCA.
Greater Pittston YMCA Skipper Classes, are available for pre-school
children. A skipper I class for children six months and older will be held
from 6-6:45 p.m on Wednesdays and 9:45-10:30 a.m. on Fridays. Parents must
accompany children in the water for the skipper I class. A new skip class for
children ages 3-5 will be held from 9-9:45 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. In
this class, an adult will assist the child in the water while the child uses a
cube. A skipper II class for children ages 3-5 also will be offered. The
skipper II class is designed for children who can move on their own in the
water without an adult. Other classes for more advanced students also are

Kingston Recreation Center, will host an adult men’s basketball league on
Wednesday nights beginning in November. Players 18 and older are eligible.
Interested teams should contact Greg Kiner at 287-1106 or Jerry Mikus at
Mountaintop Youth Basketball League, 9 a.m.-12 p.m at Crestwood High
School. Open to boys and girls in grades 3-8. Cost to register is $30 for the
first child and $20 for each additional child. Contact Frank Gavio at 678-7417

Pace Setters Athletic Club Basketball, will offer a variety of basketball
clinics during the fall and winter. The clinics will include information on
fundamental skill development, conditioning and nutrition. The clinics can be
presented to youth teams, organizations and individuals. Group and private
sessions are available. Those interested should call the Pace Setters at
Sea Lions Boys and Girls Swim teams, accepting registrations for the
Monday through Friday at the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center. For more

UPCOMING EVENTS
Crestwood Wrestling Club, will hold its fall wrestling rumble for
elementary, junior high and high school on Sunday, Nov. 4 at the high school.
Weigh-ins will be from 7-8 a.m. with wrestling to begin at 10:30 a.m. The
rumble will be a double-elimination, true second format. Cost is $12 for those
who pre-register, $15 for walk-ons. For more information, call 868-5659 or
Hockey Game Benefit, between Pittston Area and Wyoming Area ice hockey
teams for NYPD widows and children’s fund will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the
Ice Box in Jenkins Township. A representative of the New York City Police

Wyoming Valley West Wrestling Clinic, 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Sunday at the WVW
Middle School, Chester Street, Kingston. Former amateur world champion Gene
Mills will be the featured guest.
