Cooler temperatures, sunshine to stick around through the midweek

No rain is expected in the Wyoming Valley through the midweek, but temperatures will be slightly cooler.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 49 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies kicking off the day.

Patchy fog will be possible before 9 a.m. this morning — otherwise, partly sunny skies are expected. Today’s high will be near 69.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow tonight, with a low around 48.

Partly sunny skies are expected on Tuesday, with a high near 71. Clear skies will follow into Tuesday night, with a low around 50.

Sunny skies will stick around on Wednesday, with a high near 75. Clear skies are predicted for Wednesday night, with a low around 51.
