Deadline extended for Washington Bridge grant applications
(WPRI) — The deadline to apply for the Washington Bridge Small Business Grant Program has been extended until 5 p.m. on Oct. 8.
Rhode Island Commerce announced the extension on Monday and said it has received 160 applications from businesses located outside of East Providence and Providence as of Monday morning.

East Providence has received 130 applications so far and Providence has received 425 applications.
The grants are for $500, $1,000 and $2,5000 and will be allocated based on the applicant's "reported levels of economic impact."
