Des Moines police ask for help to find violent felon
DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is asking for the public's help to track down a wanted felon.
Detectives are seeking 47-year-old William Wambsgans on warrants for second-degree burglary, first-degree harassment, and a parole violation. Police say he has violent tendencies and is known to go armed.
Wambsgans is 5'11" and about 260 pounds.
Wambsgans is believed to have been the driver of a vehicle that law enforcement officials from the DMPD and other agencies on a lengthy chase Wednesday night. Charges are pending in that case as the investigation continues.
