ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A former Rochester police officer who was sentenced to 10 weekends in jail for raping a child pleaded guilty to additional charges Thursday.

Shawn Jordan pleaded guilty to first degree disseminating indecent material to minors and endangering the welfare of a child. He accepted a plea deal Thursday which includes five years of shock probation, under which he will spend six months in jail followed by the remainder of the probation.

Jordan admitted in court to exposing himself to a 16-year-old girl on Facebook Messenger's video chat. Investigators said he rubbed his genitals on camera while wearing his uniform in a marked police car.

These accusations led to his suspension from the Rochester Police Department.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Jordan will have to register as a sex offender. His sentencing is set for December 12.

In a separate case, Jordan pleaded guilty to second degree rape and forcible touching in Ontario County. His sentence of 10 weekends in jail on that charge proved controversial. Prosecutors there said they accepted that deal to avoid the need for the victim to testify in court.
