New Bedford Woman Stabbed to Death in City’s West End

NEW BEDFORD ( WBSM ) — Authorities are investigating after a New Bedford woman was stabbed to death this afternoon in the city's West End.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said that New Bedford Police responded to 86 Atlantic Street at about 4:52 p.m. today for a reported stabbing.

Once police arrived, they located and rendered aid to a 31-year-old New Bedford woman suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The woman was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. Her identity has not yet been released.

According to the D.A.'s Office, the investigation by Massachusetts State Police assigned to that office, New Bedford Police and Homicide Unit prosecutors.
