Police Blotter
WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following incidents:
• Terrell Stevenson, 24, was charged at 4:37 a.m. Sunday with public drunkenness on Parrish Street, police said.
• Edward Kamowski, 75, was charged with drunken driving Friday, police said. He was stopped after hitting a guardrail on 300 Parkview Circle. Kamowski failed field sobriety tests. Tests taken at police headquarters showed Kamowski had a blood alcohol level of .255 percent. An adult driver is considered intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .08.
• Donna Scharz reported Sunday someone slashed the tires on her 1996 Neon while it was parked on Sullivan Street.
• Leonard Alba, 38, reported Sunday the tires on his vehicle were slashed while it was parked on Sullivan Street.
• George Merrick, 30, of Nanticoke, was accused of striking a complainant on Brook Street several times at the complainant’s home at 1:56 a.m. Sunday, police said. Harassment charges will be filed against Merrick.
• A vehicle’s window was smashed and a purse stolen Saturday at 9:12 p.m. on Roosevelt Street.
• Alfred M. Salvagno, 59, was arrested Friday at 6:21 p.m. after his vehicle was reported to have left the scene of a hit-and-run, police said. Drunken-driving charges are pending.
• Eve Edmonds, of 384 S. Franklin St., reported at 9:34 p.m. Friday that someone threw eggs at her home.
• William S. Mizzer, 47, was charged with public drunkenness at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, police said.
• John P. Rogers, 39, was arrested on drunken driving charges after a traffic stop at 6:09 p.m. Saturday at 395 S. Main St, police said,
• Jennifer Seifert, 36, was charged with public drunkenness at 6:03 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Public Square and North Main Street, police said.
• William Roberts, 36, was charged with public drunkenness at 2:53 p.m. Saturday at the corner of South and South Main streets, police said.
• Jaime Sesnowich reported Joseph Sakavage, 48, harassed her at 92 S. Main St. on Saturday. Sakavage was charged with public drunkenness and harassment after an altercation with Sesnowich, police said.
• Jade Sowden reported at 8:03 p.m. Saturday that her vehicle’s tires were punctured while it was parked at 17 Terrace St.
