An intoxicated 20-year-old woman was arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 1 after she crashed her Nissan Rogue into an unidentified object, then drove away.

Also, the Rogue was dragging a traffic-control pylon, which was stuck to the vehicle's undercarriage.

Police pulled over the Rogue on West Bagley near Baker Street. The airbags inside the SUV had inflated. The woman admitted that her vehicle had hit something but thought she could make it home.

Criminal investigation: Sheldon Road

A Brook Park man, 39, may face criminal charges after police found what they suspected was methamphetamine in his car.

At about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 2, police noticed the man's Ford Focus traveling eastbound on Sheldon near North Rocky River Drive. The car's rear license plate wasn't illuminated, making it hard for police to read the number.

After finally reading the plate, police checked the number and learned that the car's owner was wanted for a parole violation. He had been involved in an illegal drugs case.

Police stopped the Focus on Sheldon near Eastland Road. They asked the man for his driver's license, and his hands shook as he handed his license to police.

A Strongsville man, 44, was in the Ford's passenger seat. Police discovered that he was wanted in Georgia.

A drug-sniffing police K-9 arrived from Olmsted Falls. The K-9 alerted officers to drugs inside the Focus.

Police found four small, clear crystal shards inside a rubber cupholder in the car. They believed the shards were meth.

Police told the man that they would send the shards to a lab and that if they tested positive for meth he would face charges.

Trespassing: Front Street

A Strongsville man, 61, was banned from Starbucks, 106 Front, after he locked himself in the bathroom and refused to leave.

Police were called to Starbucks at about 10:15 a.m. Nov. 3. Starbucks workers told police that they believed the man was homeless.

As police talked to Starbucks workers, the man opened the bathroom door to leave. Starbucks management wanted the man banned from the restaurant.

Police told the man that if he ever returned, he would be charged with trespassing. The man said he understood and left.

A Starbucks worker said the man had frequently visited the restaurant previously and locked himself in the bathroom for long periods of time. The worker believed the man was attempted to hide in the bathroom overnight.

Shoplifting, found property: West Bridge Street

An unidentified shoplifting suspect left a backpack containing a jar of marijuana inside Giant Eagle, 50 West Bridge.

Giant Eagle called police about the backpack on Nov. 3. The shoplifting incident had occurred Oct. 29. The suspect tried to steal alcohol from the store but was caught by a security guard.

Drunkenness, disorderly conduct: East Bagley Road

A Cleveland man, 40, faces disorderly conduct charges after he passed out drunk at about 7 p.m. Nov. 6 outside Baldwin Wallace University's Kleist Center for Arts & Drama, 95 East Bagley.

When police arrived, the man was lying in the grass. Police woke him and determined that he was intoxicated.

Police called the man's roommate in Cleveland. The roommate said he would pick up the man and take responsibility for him.
