Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend and deliver remarks at the 79th Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in New York City on Thursday night.

This dinner is meant to add a reprieve to the election cycle, allowing the presidential candidates to roast and make jokes at each other as well as raise money for Catholic charities.

Vice President Kamala Harris is sending in a pre-recorded video, skipping the in-person event and breaking presidential tradition.

This is the first presidential candidate to skip the dinner since Walter Mondale in 1984.

Harris is making her way through Wisconsin on Thursday, visiting Milwaukee, La Crosse and Green Bay.

Trump will be joined by his wife Melania at the dinner.
