TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A historical 2024 election, with many calling it the greatest political comeback in modern day history. The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump is now the President-elect. He defeated Vice President Kamala Harris by large margins on Election Day.

President-elect Trump is already getting the ball rolling on his transition back into the White House, as VP Harris conceded the election and is hoping for a peaceful transfer of power.

So what does a second-Trump term look like, especially for those in minority communities?

NBC News exit polls show he had the most voter turnout from Latino and Black men. However, one of his biggest policies is mass deportation of illegal and undocumented immigrants.

On today's episode of 'Rooted in Progress', UF Political Analyst and professor of African American studies Vincent Adejumo joins us to break down the exit polls. We also discuss President-elect Trump's plan for minorities.
