Starting December on the chilly side

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Cloud cover and cooler temperature take over the region for the start of December. We will have the slight chance for some wintry mix for the end of the week and into the start of next week.

Friday will be chilly with cloudy conditions and the slight chance for wintry mix and rain during the first half of the day for southeastern areas. High temperatures will only reach into the upper 30s to lower 40s. Winds will be northerly between 10 to 20 mph.

Friday High Temperatures

Cloud cover hangs around Friday night and into Saturday morning, but low temperatures still fall to the teens and lower 20s. We will have the slight chance for snow or in the overnight, no accumulation is expected.

Saturday Morning Lows

Saturday will be near or slightly warmer than Friday. High temperatures reach the upper 30s to the upper 40s. We will continue to be partly to mostly cloudy and the southern areas will have the chance for snow/wintry mix in the morning which will likely transition to light drizzle/rain if it hangs around into the afternoon. No accumulation is expected. Winds will be between 5 to 10 mph from the southeast.

The slight chance for precipitation lingers through Monday before dry conditions take over. Temperatures will also be on the warm up for the next 7 days.... from the upper 30s to the lower 60s.
